Yogacentric was formed in 2013 initially as a Hot Yoga studio based in Crouch end, which has expanded to three sites. Encompassing Centric: 3Tribes in Crouch end which is a fitness centre providing Interval training, Barre, cycle and yoga classes. In addition, Muswell Hill which provides yoga, Barre, Pilates and core classes.

Summary of Main Duties

As Business Development and Operations Manager, you will continue to identify opportunities to develop the brand further. You will also lead and inspire a team of staff in delivering the highest possible standards of client care and service delivery at all stages of a client’s experience so that Yogacentric becomes the leisure destination of choice for the London community.


• Continuously seek to develop products, services and sales strategies with the Managing Director, to support the long-term business objectives.

• To devise and implement strategies to increase the number of new sites for expansion, negotiate lease contracts, project manage the redevelopment and prelaunch marketing campaign(s) in order to establish new clientele.

• Own business analysis processes, feature design and product management. Take responsibility for driving decisions, supported using analytics where appropriate, with regard to feature/timeline trade-offs, and all other product related decisions.

• Responsible for the management and positive development of a range of strategic and operational relationships external to the company, working with other agencies at a strategic level to support brand development.

• Delivering an annual business plan and the five-year operating plan so that Operations generates positive cashflow available to be reinvested in the provision of high quality services to our customers and new site development;

• Leadership across the organisation by management of volume and financial targets for operational services; developing efficient and cost effective operational systems; co-ordinate with HR to prepare personal development plans; coach individuals and give feedback.
• To raise the profile and reputation of the organisation by working closely with partners in the fitness and wellbeing industry; assisting with planning, promoting, delivery and subsequent evaluation of the performance of special events/activities.

Person, skills, qualifications and experience specification


• At least five years management experience within the fitness industry, which must include the fitness/cycle/yoga/pilates/barre industry.
• Must have demonstrable working knowledge of P & L management, Marketing Strategy Management, Service Delivery management, managing teams, new site selection and development project management and negotiating contracts.
• Experience in representing a business with internal and external stakeholders (members, potential investors and other partners).
• Passion for driving the vision of a new company; social media and building a loyal following, experience with marketing (internet and paper advertising) and social media; strong knowledge and passion for yoga.
• Experienced operations manager, with a proven track record of managing a fitness centre in
• Experienced and proven skills in managing a therapy centre, auditioning new therapists, managing contracts, Human Resources and health and safety policies, training therapists and business development.
• Experience and proven skills in monitoring and controlling performance using financial and statistical data within Mind Body and Fitmetrix.
• Experience in auditioning yoga, barre and Pilates teachers, in addition cycle and personal trainers.
• Experience in Health and Safety regulation and compliance and maintaining centres at regulatory standard.
• Experience in creating yearly marketing budgets and plans.
• Must hold a Degree level qualification or equivalent.


• An experienced natural leader and team player, who has demonstrated an ability to lead, motivate, support and develop employees to enable contribution to business goals and objectives.
• Experience with client communications.
• Excellent commercial acumen, proven track record of delivering results against targets.
• Ability to create marketing products for social media and advertising campaigns.
• First aid and defibrillator qualified.
• High quality of service mentality.
• IT literate – Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
